Latest Updates from Our Project:

The Forest of Fux
over 4 years ago – Wed, Oct 23, 2019 at 11:48:24 AM

Greetings Villains. It’s time for our first glimpse into the wilds of Wastedlands. This island attracts the weird, evil and creepy. But not everything here came from somewhere else. There are many indigenous species that've thrived here for centuries before the 90 Proof Seas brought the first Kegerfreighters to these shores. One in particular has been here since the beginning.

We're of course talking about the Fux. As the saying goes “Anywhere you find people, you’ll find a couple Fux.” And though Fux can be found everywhere in the world, Wastedlands is their home. Lets take a closer look at one now…

Adorable right? Well think again! Fux may be small, cute looking creatures but they rely on the sympathy of the capable to survive in an otherwise unforgiving world. When a Fux is encountered in the wild and beaten, it will seek out the nearest sucker it can find to take care of it. Once a Fux bonds with its victim, it remains with them for its entire life.

That is unless you happen to have one of the rare objects spread throughout Wastedlands designed to ward off the creatures.

Wastedlands being their homeland, there are many Fux living here that can’t be found anywhere else in DrunkQuestia. From Flying Fux to Dumb Fux the variety is endless!

This brings us to our interactive part of the tour. We’re looking for new species of Fux. And we’re hoping you can help us find them!

We have 3 Fux designed for Wastedlands: Fux, a Flying Fux and a Dumb Fux. We had so much fun coming up with ideas for other Fux that we thought we’d share in the pun! Comment, message or post to our Social Media accounts with your ideas. The best ideas will make it into Wastedlands and we’ll send the backers who win a signed thank you copy of your Fux!

DrunkQuest Stein & Shot Glass
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 18, 2019 at 05:46:41 PM

Happy Friday Villains! Today we're excited to show off the newest stein for DrunkQuest. Each time we've done a new stein we've learned a few tricks and with the Wastedlands Edition we're pulling out all the stops! This custom mold stein will be cast in classic german stoneware (examples below). The design is meant to represent an "in world" stein as the characters in game would use, complete with chips in the wood and carvings left by previous Questers. We've created a big bold silhouette than added flair and details that make it our own. The handle has an awesome lip perfect for your thumb, this addition makes it comfortable to hold. Even the lip of the tankard was sampled from other steins we tested while looking for the most comfortable one to drink from. You can view a much larger version of our concept image above HERE

Each of the above are cast in the same stoneware. There's a lot of treatments we can do and the mold lets us go as crazy with the design as we want. For this stein though, we prioritized comfortability and usability over just doing something overly decorative and a pain in the butt to drink from.

The design is with the modelers now, we'll be posting updates as the sculpt is getting done to show off progress as it moves into production.

When the Boozaar launches on Monday. Those of you in the Party Monster tier will be able to add additional steins for $40 each without any additional shipping costs. For backers in other tiers who want to pick up one of these Limited Edition (we plan on only making enough for the Kickstarter with an extra few for ourselves of course.) you'll be able to add them for $60 each and again, no additional shipping costs.

For our previous Platinum/Founders backing outside the Party Monster tier you'll still be able to add steins for only $40. However, if you're a Founder or Platinum member AND in the Party Monster tier. You can add additional steins for only $30! This 50% discount is part of our thank you for supporting us since the beginning.

As for our Shot Glass! The frosted red gradient shot glass was something we did for the first Kickstarter. It's been the shot glass we get asked most about and we're bringing it back! The issue in the past been the red glass itself, for some reason it became super expensive so every time we went to try it again we were unable. But not this time! We've updated the design to show the mechanic we like using it for. Sometimes those large Drink Value Monsters can be rough to defeat. Carbonation is a tough thing to chug through. Well now you can offer your friends a choice, chug a beer or take a shot!

Lastly I wanted to show off Athena's sketch of the next Fux. These little monsters are a great addition to Wastedlands and even though they are indeed absurd, with each new design we're having a lot of fun coming up with their lore, culture and history within DrunkQuestia.

The Flying Fux is our bombardier, seen here delivering its payload. Isn't he awesome? Have a good weekend everyone and we'll see you when the Boozaar opens!

Hello Villains,

Today we're revealing the cross-promotion card with Drinking Quest! They have a campaign running now that you'll find by clicking the image below. Which also conveniently shows you what his game comes with.

Jason Anarchy will be announcing the DrunkQuest promo card today on the Drinking Quest campaign, if you're curious about the game now's a great time to check it out.

Let's take a look at the Drinking Quest card coming to DrunkQuest.

MegaPack, Boozters and the Boozaar!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Oct 16, 2019 at 10:41:15 PM

Hello again Villains!

I know we’ve slowed here in the middle of our adventure but we have some reviews going up next week that should hopefully pick things back up. In the meantime. If you’re feeling generous please share the campaign on your social site of choice and help us unlock more stuff!

We wanted to talk about the Boozters, Mega Promo pack and an intro to the Boozaar. This might be a larger update so here we go…

Like so much in the Wastedlands campaign, Boozters have undergone a transformation. When we first introduced them in The 90 Proof Seas they were a way for us to group a small set of the same card-types together so people could add more of what they like to their game. We’ve kept the idea behind it but now, each of our Boozters adds a new “Flavor” to your DrunkQuest experience.

The Infinity Goblet: Adds 10 new Permanents you can trigger every round to do anything from add drinks to the Monster, draw extra Treasure or give yourself an Instant that never goes away!

Status Effects: This Boozter is one of our remastered sets. We went back through each of our Status Effects and tweaked, added or removed them until we ended up with 10 cards that get to the heart of what you want out of Status Effects, to make your friends say funny things!

Fux Force Five: This set adds more Fux to Wastedlands. These Fux have unique abilities and are themed after some well-known pop culture personas. There are also some new ways to protect yourself against the cute little creatures.

And as you can see by the numbers in the top left, there are more Boozters then we've shown here, stay tuned for their reveals!

Which brings us to the MegaPack. Unlike the Boozters these cards are not themed around 1 thing. We've redone every promo we've ever created. But rehashes aren't all that's inside! There's also a lot of new cards that were created and never printed. We've redone them as well and put them in this pack.

An awesome mix of old made new and completely new are inside. And once we make it to 30k we'll add even more cards to this already beefy pack!

The Boozaar will launch Monday next week! When it goes live you’ll note there will be 2 different price points on each item. There will be an icon next to the cheaper price indicating it is for our previous Platinum and Founder backers as well as our new Party Monster backers! Along with the update for the Boozaar we’ll highlight some of the items and explain what some of the more unique items do.

Before then we’ll be posting an update to show off the new stein and shotglass which we’re pretty excited about.

Lastly, we have a new outlet to gather all the amazing DrunkQuest ideas you guys have.

Introducing our SubReddit! When DrunkQuest first launched our website had a forum and there were so many great ideas that came out of it (The Cthulhu/Brewthulu expansion idea). It was a great place to talk things through with our players and help shape DrunkQuest. Unfortunately I am not the best web designer (read; terrible). So we had several hacks that brought the forums and the entire site down. Hopefully this will be a great outlet for people to use to voice concerns, ask about events, suggest new cards or expansions and everything else DrunkQuest related!

Unlock: Mummy!
over 4 years ago – Tue, Oct 08, 2019 at 06:38:31 PM

Second checkpoint reached! We've unlocked a new Monster Hero to give to all our backers. We reached this goal a little faster than anticipated (which is a great thing) but the result is the Mummy's design is not finished. Below is a work in progress.

Her design may not be final, but her abilities are. And what abilities they are. Our Monster Heroes are definitely the most powerful cards in DrunkQuest, but they are also very optional. We like to think of them as "What ifs" you bring out at a party to talk about and laugh over.

We have 3 more Monster Hero ideas, they are very early in design. All of them have abilities as powerful as these. But while the Vampire and Werewolf's abilities wildly unbalance the game, the Mummy will wildly unbalance your friends (or yourself)!

Let us know what you think in the comments and we'll see you at the next stop!
